I think it’s important that people have the opportunity to connect before deciding whether they want ongoing support. The consultation gives us a chance to meet, talk, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels right.
There is no pressure and no expectation that you need to have everything figured out beforehand.
You can simply show up as you are.
What The Consultation Is Like
The consultation is really just a conversation.
It’s an opportunity for you to share what brought you here, if you’d like to. Some people come with a lot to say. Some people aren’t sure where to begin. Both are completely okay.
You are welcome to talk about experiences with psychiatric hospitalization, psychiatric trauma, life challenges, recovery, healing, or anything else that feels important to you.
You can ask questions about peer support, learn more about my approach, and get a sense of whether the way I work feels like a good fit for what you’re looking for.
Most importantly, it’s an opportunity for us to connect as human beings before making any decisions about moving forward.
What Ongoing Sessions Are Like
If you decide that you’d like ongoing support, we can schedule one-on-one sessions together.
These sessions are rooted in peer support, lived experience, autonomy, mindfulness, and mutual respect.
They are not therapy.
They are spaces where you can be honest, explore what you’re carrying, process difficult experiences, and receive support from someone who understands the impact that psychiatric systems and other life experiences can have on a person.
Some people come to talk about psychiatric trauma.
Some come to process grief, anger, fear, or uncertainty.
Some come to rebuild trust in themselves.
Some come because they simply want a place where they can speak openly and be heard.
There is no single path.
We start wherever you are and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
My Approach
Something that is important to me is creating a space where people feel safe enough to be honest.
I believe support works best when it is grounded in consent, curiosity, compassion, and respect.
I don’t believe my role is to tell you who you are or what choices you should make.
My role is to walk alongside you, help you explore what matters to you, and support you in finding your own path forward.
At the heart of my work is a belief that people deserve to be heard, respected, and trusted.
Pricing
Individual one-on-one sessions are $45 per session.
Sessions are held online and can be scheduled at times that work for both of us.
I do my best to keep support accessible while also honoring the time, energy, and care that goes into this work.
